Donation to Nepean Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Dear Steve,

We would like to express our sincere thanks to you for your generous donations of several pieces of equipment (10 Neopuff Infant Resuscitator, 1 Trancutaneous Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide Monitor and 4 Massimo Saturation Monitors) to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Nepean Hospital.

This equipment is very expensive and we are extremely grateful for your huge donation of approximately $63,663.00.  What a tremendous donation!

Many of our premature, tiny and sick babies would benefit enormously from your kindness and generosity.

Using state-of-the-art Neopuff Infant Resuscitator instead of manual use of anesthetic bags will allow the clinicians to resuscitate sick babies more effectively and accurately.  Delivering exact required pressure to the babies airways will prevent damage to babies lungs.

The Transcutaneous and Saturation monitors provide continuous non-invasive monitoring of the sick babies oxygen levels.  This will allow the clinicians to give the correct amount of supplementary oxygen to the sick babies, preventing complications due to insufficient oxygen to the brain and other organs.

Nepean Hospital cannot express enough how much we appreciate your tireless efforts to raise funds to help with the purchase of expensive and essential equipment.

Once again thank you very much for your donation, and for your ongoing support of the NICU, which is greatly appreciated by all the staff and parents.  We would like to extend an invitation to you and your members to tour the Neonatal Unit and view the equipment you have donated.

Kind regards,

Irene Wong, Nurse Unit Manager
